Lovely spot and hosts. Fall asleep (and wake up) to native bird calls. We used this campsite as a base camp for 2 days of exploring the national park which it is located excellently to do. Attended the glow warm tour for $5 put on near nightly by the host which was also well worth it. Perfect score, would stay again. And to top it all of the sand flies where not too bad.

If you have ever wanted to see weka (which looks remarkably like a kiwi) just come up right beside you, this is your place. While during our stay (Jan) At any given moment there were about 3-5 weka just roaming around. So cool. Beautiful camp spot. Clean drinking water, clean toilet and picnic tables for each spot. The forest all around is spectacular.
