We had a very comfortable and luxurious stay at Holly Homestead. the hosts are truly amazing people and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. the entire place was squeaky clean. Delicious homecooked breakfast every morning and great local tips. Probably the best place in entire Franz Josef for a stay.

We stayed with Bernie and Gerard for just one night as we had to cancel one night due to ill health and we absolutely loved it. Bernie and Gerard are the perfect hosts. Bernie is extremely warm, welcoming and generous. On arrival she gave me some homemade yoghurt and a banana to settle my tummy which was very thoughtful. The place is very well furnished and the bedrooms have everything you would need. The breakfast is 1st class, definitely the best omelette I've had in some time. Only one regret, I wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be heading back there if we ever go back to NZ. I definitely recommend

We had a wonderful stay, Bernie and Gerard are great hosts and were really helpful during our stay. The house and the rooms are beautiful and make you want to stay longer. We watched the sunset twice from the terrace (it has wonderful views to the mountains). Breakfast was also delicious and prepared with great care. Also the hostss attention to details makes the whole experience lovely and makes you feel lucky and blessed (e.g.: there were pillows available for the terrace, they prepared dairy free snacks on purpose for me). I absolutely recommend it :)
