I have the feeling this walk is underrated as a tourist attraction! We had lots of fun and highly recommend it if you're in the area to see the Gorge. You can easily do both the Gorge hike and this small loop in one day. There are several remains of the goldmines to see, the canopy of trees is spectacular, and the rugged terrain makes for lots of fun (stone steps, large networks of roots, passing above and underneath hanging branches etc). The stone tunnels are the highlight. We simply loved it.

Great walk if you dont mind a little off-roading! Lots of bird activity and trails are well marked.

Walk time is approx 1 hour (depending on your speed) A loop track that goes through an old mining area (1860s), starting on Old Blue Spur - Arahuru Road, Be careful of the mineshafts (there are many). Well marked with info and history as you walk. Quite slippery so wear something appropriate.

Great adventure for a short walk (less than 3km) preferable to complete in dry conditions as it gets rather slippery heading to the top. Beautiful in the summer or winter - highly recommend!
