Love Punakaiki

Gorgeous secluded and private accommodation. Bird life is amazing. The room (nikau studio) was clean, tidy and had a good kitchen area. Only 2 small flaws which was no sharp knife for cutting (lucky we had our own) and condition pump in shower didn't work but that was ok too as I had bought some along. Would definitely stay there again. And as a suggestion, an outdoor bath or spa would go perfectly on the verandah.

Nearby activities: Pancake Rocks is a short drive (maybe two minutes) from Love Punakaiki. The Truman Track starts at the end of the street and is a wonderful walk to the most stunning beach on the West Coast. Noteworthy details: Stunning retreat in the rainforest of Punakaiki. Love Punakaiki is a beautiful couples retreat, complete with relaxing outdoor bath (for two!), sun filled library at the top of the stairs and the most glorious view of the rainforest you could wish for.

Pros: Really cosy room with a very easy check-in process Possibly the best shower I've used in New Zealand Very comfortable bed Extremely reasonable price Cons: Very loud heater that isn't the most effective The room was slightly dirty, particularly the stools and parts of the kitchen Overall: If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Punakaiki, this is definitely a great option in a secluded location.
