Murray Creek Goldfield Tracks

Lanky Creek from Crushington ,Jack Lovelock memorial to meet Murray creek walk I've only graded moderate as there is a lot of damage with bridges missing and fallen trees over the track. there were not obvious sighs at the beginning of the track or at the end where it meets Energetic mine and then on to Murray Creek. When it's repaired it will be an easy walk of 2 hours max once your get up the short steep climb onto the flat trail. An absolute stunner to wallow in ,with beautiful beech and totara thriving in lush mossy forest with piwakwaka and bell birds for company. Dog-friendliness: Maybe it's DOC unfriendly but not obvious

Straight up and then more up and maybe some down but more up.

Doing the 4-5 hr circuit involves a steep 400m uphill with no cissy zigzags! Interesting mine relics and easy walk out.

Very popular, good walk. If you are walking I would do the incline first. It's tough but once you have done it it's a easy walk afterwards and the decline will be less hard on the knees/legs
