PORSE In-Home Childcare

I applied to be a qualified home educator for PORSE in October 2019. By February 2021 after numerous letdowns, VT changes, misinformation and mistakes and being overall unprofessional, disappointing whilst letting my families wait and dragging them into their mistakes I had had enough. 5 months later and they still didnt have me in their system and when I complained they blamed it on lockdown (the one week of lockdown we recently went through) I left, moved to another amazing provider who have done more for me in 2 weeks than PORSE did in 5 months. To be specific, PORSE did nothing except waste my time and the families time. Its unacceptable!

Porse- excellent childcare for parents who only send their kids to daycare for fun, can stay at home to look after kids whenever the educator feels like, don't mind doing piles of paperwork and meetings almost every week, and love being yelled at by Porse staff when they make mistakes. Giving 2 stars because quality of care is ok when available. Had 2 different Porse educators look after my baby for about 4 months. Communication is an absolute nightmare. Everytime we had to make even the smallest change (say 2 extra hours of care in a week), we had to first negotiate with the educator and then Porse itself. Porse didn't update their records even after I signed timesheets with educator to record correct hours, sent us wrong bill, which we paid, only to be accused by educator of deliberately underpaying her. To top it off, she had the audacity to yell at me on phone when I started conversation by saying sorry, even though it was error on their part. She also demanded payment of all the underpayment on same day, otherwise she won't look after my baby from next day. Spoke to Porse and their response was- Its parents responsibility to let Porse know of correct hours, signing timesheets means nothing.
