Have been with this gym for ~4 years and will finally be moving to a new gym as I have had enough. BodyTech is easily one of the better gyms in Auckland, however has room for a lot of improvement - location, facilities and equipment are great however Management is TERRIBLE. During my time I have experienced: - Changing/altering gym facilities without customer engagement or appropriate and formal comms. - No/limited customer engagement to understand ways to improve gym experience. However when feedback is provided there is no apparent consideration or change made. - Raised a complaint recently and was contacted by a Manager (Sunny - If I recall correctly) who instead of trying to understand my complaint got defensive and argued with me. - Regular customer engagement/comms via Facebook instead of formal and professional channels, such as email. Many customers do not use Facebook and is not appropriate to be used as a primary customer comms channel, specifically important comms (like the very unfortunate/sad event that occurred recently) should not rely on customers proactively checking Facebook before heading to the gym. - Closing the gym or facilities without adequate comms to customers - e.g. once turned off water fountains and did not advise customers prior which meant customers needed to purchase water that could have been bought from home; and regularly close sauna and steam rooms and change dates when they will be reopened without ongoing notification. - Reduced opening hours due to limited demand of supervised workout circuits, with complete disregard for other gym amenities and customers who use those facilities. E.g. you can close the supervised training circuit earlier but keep the gym open later - especially in the summer months. - One size fits all approach to training and memberships, they are expensive and inflexible. Which shows they do not understand their customers and their needs. I share this in the hopes BodyTech Management see this and take appropriate action to build this gym back to what it used to be. You have lost so many members during the Xforce roll out and now Covid, you need to value and support the customers that do remain and think of new and innovation to solutions to problems rather than just closing early, reducing hours and removing facilities. Please review and refresh your management approach, with more focus on current members rather than focusing solely on new members.

I've been going here for just a few weeks now, and I've lost 2kg already! I have type 1 diabetes, and I have lowered my daily insulin amounts, and have a lot more energy in general. I really enjoy the Xforce workouts, it's great that it's only a couple of times a week and I supplement my workouts with cardio most other days. In general the workouts feel very accessible but still challenging!
