Ziba Cafe

My first time trying Persian food and wow it was so so good. The restaurant is very clean to dine in and very friendly staff. Definitely coming back for the food here.

Ordered one chicken Karahi over the phone, owner asked to come after 1 hr saying food will be ready, came after 1 hour, he totally forgot about my order, kept me waiting for another 15 minutes. Then served me the dish with their Naan/roti. It's clearly mentioned in the menu that the customer can choose naan or rice. Am gluten allergic, when ask for rice owner gave me rude attitude and served me food without giving me a plate. When asked for plate owner said he has to wash more plates. And food tasted too sour. Am disgusted,. No hospitality at all. Would never set foot in this place ever again or recommend this place to any of my friends or relatives.

Having heard good things about zibas we came here with high expectations. Even the NZ herald said that food was a stand out here.... Sadly the food was average at best. We ordered the mixed grill...the meat was dry, there was no sauce what so ever, just a few dressed salad leaves. At least the chips were crispy and had tomato sauce but the portion was very small for $6. Sadly a meal that wasn't enjoyable.

The kebab and salad was nice would order it again but the Ghormeh Sabzi had really bad taste, we couldn't eat it, it looked like it's not fresh or burned/overcooked. It felt like the greens were blended before being cooked giving it a bitter taste, pretty sure that's not how it should taste because I tried it before and it was really good, now this was just bad I think it shouldn't even be on the menu, certainly not worth $20 either, hope the chef can cook the right receipe or take it off the menu.
