The clinic has reached out to me regarding the below doctor and this review has been amended with admittedly corrected information from myself. It was beneath me to rate a service on Google as 1 star based on 1 bad experience, despite it being rather horrific. The rating has been increased as all in all the clinic has taken care of me well for the better part of 5 years. The original review continues as below. Malcome missed two appointments scheduled with me in one day, neither with so much as an apology. He then spent the 40 mins side stepping the reason I was there, he asked irrelevant and outright inappropriate questions to the point I felt both emotionally and physically violated. He even tried to give me business advice at one stage and it became rather obvious why he was missing appointments and running behind on his schedule. After leaving the clinic in a rage of fury I ended up in an emergency department, I have since reached out to the clinic however Malcome has not even bothered to contact me. The clinic enjoys a 3.6 star rating on here, I've seen outback petrol stations with higher ratings than this. Something MUST be done about this place and it starts with a reporting to the ADHB. PLEASE be wary of signing up to this clinic, for the sake of your health.

While other doctors may not be good, Dr. Leow is an excellent GP! Very experienced and friendly.

Hii there folks. ( Dr leow No Good!!!) After visiting this clinic I have to make mention about one particular doctor and one particular nurse. Firstly I phoned this clinic to make an appointment to see the doctor and I spoke to the nurse. I foned in at approximately 130pm and asked to see the doctor that same afternoon, however the nurse kept pushing me to make the appointment for the nxt morning and she was very persistent over the phone with no real reason as to why? It seems that she did not want to do any extra work that day as it was a quiet afternoon at the clinic. I can understand if it was Friday the last day of the week but it was only a Wednesday and so I realised that she was too lazy to do her job and book me in that afternoon so I told her why do you keep pushing me for tomorrow instead of today. she then changed her mind and booked me in for that afternoon at 3pm but shortly after she became angry over the phone and started to give me attitude, I politely said thankyou and I hung up. Her behaviour was unacceptable but I excused her as she did do her job satisfactory. Doctor Leow on the other hand played a mind game at my expense it was a game of ping pong which resulted in me getting the run around. nw I know that the Chinese like to play the actual game of ping pong but it seems they like to play the mind game of ping pong as well at other peoples expense. This kind of behaviour from a doctor is unprofessional and totally unacceptable!! I will not tolerate this kind of behaviour from any medical professional and certainly I will not tolerate this from doctor leow! I am seriously considering making a formal complaint about doctor Leows behaviour to the Auckland district health board and to the medical association of nz. I hope doctor leow realises that this formal complaint could have detrimental effects on his career. Disappointing!!! Further more id like to add that Dr leow is truly without a word of a lie one of the worst doctors ever to have worked at the penrose medical clinic in the history of the penrose medical clinic.

The Penrose Clinic was accommodating as they made my appointment on short notice the day of, however I was not prepared for what was to come. I saw Dr Malcolm Lowe. He was very disrespectful as I entered his office. He did not greet me, make any eye contact, or introduce himself and proceeded to mumble for a bit which made me quite uncomfortable. With regards to my health complaint, Dr Lowe continually downplayed/disregarded the chronic pain that I have suffered for years. He outright refused to refer me to the specialist who could help me with my complaint. He proceeded by printing off multiple prescriptions that I did not want and insisted that I use them. Throughout the appointment he also asked me lots of off topic questions that made me uncomfortable as well as disrespecting the profession that I work in (after learning what it was). His overall medical knowledge also seems to be lacking and outdated as he made some very basic mistakes while trying to inform me on best care and management. I would not recommend this doctor - a very unhelpful and discouraging encounter...
