The actual service at the time of sale was as you would expect of a person in business for 30 years. The after sales service reminds me of the reputation that 1980's sales staff had. I purchased a 2004 Holden Vectra and was very happy with the deal, however the cam-belt came up due for replacement despite being told it had been done and was good to 180,000km, it was rather disappointing when i took the car in for it's 120,000 km service to the original dealer Schofields in new market (who according to the owners Manuel did the 105,000 km service ) has no record of that being done. I've tried numerous times now to get the record but I have been unable to get through. Guess i'll have to foot the $2000 dollar bill for the belt and engine seal. :-( i'll be giving serious thought to who the dealer is a member of MTA or even have the LMVD sign noted about some where. don't get me wrong the car is nice I like the car just $2000 feels a lot when I was told the work had been done. also as a side not after devaluing my trade in for an oil leak the holden either had one at time of purchase or developed in within a day of taking ownership. Not hearing back i'll have to bite the bullet and pay the money because he did sell us a very nice car! The appalling lack of honesty was in poor taste. Being told my trade in was barely worth his time due to it raining oil was a slap in the face considering the oil leak and thousands of dollars worth of work that was required to stop the leak and bring the car up to the level he sold it as being.
