Disgusting customer service and attitude given by the owners. BEWARE reply to owner: Definitely the right place. We were booked under a different name

Such bad customer service from Aotea Lodge. Could not get into island as flight was cancelled and they would not rebook our accommodation to another date! No goodwill shown by property owners. Charged us 100% of the cost and showed no flexibility at all! They have no idea about the actual cost to their business of losing a customer Please Beware anyone that has a a situation similar that is out of your control i.e weather meaning you can not fly in as they show no flexibility Unbelievable really as when you run a small business its is all about keeping the customer happy and word of mouth. Would never stay there again under current ownership. I tried to explain our situation to the owner and got yelled at on the phone by the owner. They told us that we shouldve booked the flight the next day but as it was a long weekend all flights were fully booked. Then we were told make a travel insurance claim! Come on! Unbelievable that this kind of customer service still exists here??
