Katsubi Bayfair

Brought take-out dinner here on our first night in Tauranga after a previous positive review. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. I requested extra rice and there was still minimal rice. The salad tasted old and sour. The crispy chicken was hard and dry as if it had been sitting all day under the heater and everything was cold. The only positive I can come up with was the teriyaki chicken was nice.

We ordered 4x regular from here and we love katsubi however this particular one we felt a huge lack of customer service. They didn't crack one smile and we felt they were just worried about hurrying us in and out. The food was very dry and cold and they didn't give much sauce which made the dish really poor to average. It pays to go inside bayfair and go to the one in the food court. Much better service and quality of food. Very disappointed!

So sad to see a place you use to regularly go to become so stingy on the portions they dish up even then they increase the costs as well disappointing wasnt even enough to fill us
