We live in ChCh but dont own a car, so we rented one for a week long roadtrip of the South Island. The car was great and Todd was incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely be doing this again, the price is great value for money and the cars are in excellent condition, we found it as good as having a new car. Our advice for anyone doing their first roadtrip on the South Island - give yourself plenty of time. Its a lot slower than the North Island to get between places and also so beautiful youll want to enjoy the scenery.

The price is good and the staff is friendly but the car rented was 14 years old and it was not mentioned when renting the car online. We drove long distances and the comfort in such old cars is really not the same. We did not have any mechanical issue though (I guess old cars are also more reliable when service is made appropriately)
