Jack in the Green - BBH

We were disappointed to see how backwards this place has gone since staying here 18 months earlier. There was a bottle of lube left under the bed, the room was heavily scented with air freshener, wifi was weak & patchy, there was minimal bathroom linen provided, the liquid soap was watered down to the point of not being soap anymore, the communal kitchen facilities were no longer available and the bed was uncomfortable. We were happy to leave first thing in the morning & felt that we paid too much for what we got, especially compared to our experience there last time. We would not recommend this place as an accommodation. We appreciate that times are tough for the hospitality industry right now, we feel that Jack in the Green has made too many cuts and has shifted from being a lovely place to stay to being down right distasteful.

I stayed here with a friend of mine back at the end of January, and I am quite impressed with this place! It is super cute, and the location is great! Less than a 10 minute walk to the hot springs and into town, and it is off the main street so it is nice and quiet! Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Hanmer Springs :)
