The Co-operative Bank

Honestly wouldnt recommend this bank branch. To open up another savings account you have to pay $2 PER transaction. So 1 savings is free and the other is paid per transaction. You cant withdrawal money from the bank and even if you deposit money in , it doesnt go in til after they close. They are quite behind times.

Very helpful when you are physically in the bank, but impossible to reach on the phone.

Been with co op bank for nine years found the staff very helpful and have a lot of respect for there customers helped me all the way with my banking needs would never change to any other bank thanku all.

I thought this a tad strange. I am a TSB customer and there are no TSB branches near where I live. I needed some specific amounts of cash in different denominations totalling about $180. After queuing to get in (Covid restrictions one customer at a time) the teller asked if I was a Cooperative bank customer. No, I said and explained what I needed. Then we cant help you, he said - you need to go to an ATM elsewhere then ask a shopkeeper to change your cash. I thought that quite strange. They have a teller window, they presumably have cash on hand being a bank yet appear to be there to serve ONLY THEIR customers. Makes a mockery of the sign in their window that says How may we help you? Problem solved eventually by going to another bank several hundred metres away and using my TSB card received cash in the denominations I needed. May I suggest to Cooperative bank that you amend your sign in your window!
