        We often stopped here for a coffee and pie on our way home from Blenhiem or further south. Was well run and clean. What a shame its coming to an end purely because its so successful.

        Awesome staff, fabulous food and coffee. The staff make this place what it is. Road closures and Covid closures theyve endured it all. Sad to hear DOC did not renew their lease as the owners have built this place up to what it is today. A regular for many years.

        Edit: unfortunately they dont serve freshly made food anymore, but was still a decent coffee and pie. Well worth stopping for the food. Im often dubious about getting a full breakfast because I dont want to pay $22 for a small plate of sad food, but here it was anything but that. Huge helping of sausages and eggs and hash and everything. Very filling and very tasty. Also, excellent coffee.
