(Translated by Google) A place a little out of time, the nature reserve is totally preserved in the style of the original New Zealand bush. There are several walking circuits, it allows you to take a walk regardless of your level. No excuses. You will walk in the middle of the bush lulled by the sound of water and the songs of birds with small panels all along the walk on the local fauna and flora. The shortest route takes about 1 hour and the longest about 5 hours. Small waterfalls are hidden along the way. I really liked the place and the staff is very friendly and welcomes you with a smile by making you discover their project and their concept. Depending on the day, crossing the rivers is more or less complicated in relation to the water level.

Amazing wildlife sanctuary with great tramping trails. There are a lot of trail options, from easy accessible short loops to more adventurous trails through old growth native bush, and if you keep an eye out there are some beautiful swimming holes in the rocky streams for a cold dip after a few hours tramping too. The volunteers at the visitor center are really friendly and passionate about the work being done at the sanctuary and are happy to recommend which walks are suitable for your timeframe and level of fitness. The price of admission might seem a little high but it's an amazing unique spot and a project well worth supporting!
