        Sadly we didn't get to stay at this place, despite our friends having booked this a few months before our stay. Arriving from the UK and exhausted we discovered that he had overbooked our two chalets. Even though we had had a communication from him a few weeks earlier to say that they had not been affected by the storms and we were ok to go there. We were sent to another place where the owner couldn't help us but did say that this had happened several times before. So beware - this is an appalling practice but fortunately in all our subsequent travels round New Zealand this did not happen again.
