Fishing Charters Bay of Islands with Captain Bucko

Awesome day out on the water, down to earth captain with good chat, gear supplied was up to the challenge for the big kingis we caught, would recommend to anyone.

Not the best day on a charter me and my new bride have had by a long shot. Skipper seemed barely interested in being there. No smoking for 6 hours, not advertised before you show up. Nothing about the fishing, we are keen fisherman with our own boat so understand the fish are not always on the bite but when you have read how much fun he is and he spends more time on his phone and can hardly keep a conversation going it makes for a day where my partner and I was happy to get back to the wharf. 1 out of 10 at the best. $600 to take my new bride on an adventure down the drain.

Captain Bucko is such an awesome guy! Really friendly and welcoming, with great conversation. We had such a great time fishing for kingfish! He knows all the best spots so it didnt take long for us to catch some beauties! He fillets your fish for you too when you arrive back at the wharf which is a bonus not having to deal with fish carcasses! Thanks again for a fun filled day! Alex and Chris

What an amazing day! The huge fish we caught are now long gone, but the memories will last a lifetime. Thank you, Captain Bucko, not only for the amazing fishing, but for the jokes, stories and everything that came with it. The kids constantly ask when we can do it again!

had an amazing time with captain bucko, tryed his best to put us on the fish, and eventually we found them, the best boat fishing I've ever had, fast and furious, definitely recommend him a great laugh to have as a skipper.
