        Eco Dolphin Tour: Don't get me wrong, we saw dolphins and that was great, but I felt like this was the whitest tour ever. I would have loved to know about the history of the area, but we were told only stories about James Cook, and various local millionaires, with one mention of someone Mori, and that was basically "a savage axe murderer". Dunno, I just don't super care about stories from colonisers - they're everywhere as is. Some diversity would have been great, some honouring of the local iwi, maybe a karakia, ya know, to make you feel more connected to the land. Such history there! Not just white history!

        Booked the Discover the Bay cruise, which includes the Hole in the Rock. The whole tour lasted around 4.5 hours, which included about an hour stop on Otehei Bay for lunch, drinks or even a swim. The boat was comfortable and modern. The crew were lovely and entertaining. A great experience for the whole family
