Rooms are good size, despite we have to climb one floor with stairs if you get room in 7th floor. The lobby is lovely and restaurant displays beautiful lake view. Food for breakfast are nice, not extensive but it does the job. One downside is when you have car, they will charge you $25 for overnight parking, but there are lots of other cars unregistered (means not paying) parking at same parking area so sometimes we get to park on the street (and still charged for $25 per night!). We complained to the front desk but seems like not much they do about it.

Nice views- but this hotel is a pass for me. I opted for the king lake view room with the Juliet balcony, and was so excited for my stay. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing considering the price. Ill start with the pros: The room itself was spacious, well decorated, and very clean. The coffee in the room was a nice touch, as well as the fresh milk to be requested. The cons- if you book this type of room, youll be placed on the third floor beneath the lobby and restaurant. Not an ideal location- my room was directly under the kitchen, and I listened to carts rolling around, loud knocks, and other noises starting at 6:15a going to about 11p. I asked reception about a white noise machine (the compendium for the hotel stated this was available for checkout) - but was later told first that it wasnt available until the next day, and was told later this was a mistake and the hotel no longer provided those services. While that was totally fine (used a white noise app on my phone) the noises still continued and my room (and the entire 3rd floor hallway) smelled like a restaurant throughout my entire stay. The online ordering system didnt work during my stay- not sure what happened there? Had to call the restaurant separately to place an order- which was also not a huge deal, but given the constant loud noise issue, this was all a bit frustrating. The staff that I interacted with were very genuinely kind- but unfortunately didnt have much of a solution for the noise situation. I acknowledge that Queenstown (and so many other cities and towns) are short/understaffed and have been for quite some time- but I do feel that its worth noting that given how expensive this accommodation is- I expected better for the price-point. There are plenty of fantastic options for accommodation (also with lake views) for less money and more quiet.
