Cold hall way and dark. The heat pump in our room didn't work. The shower curtain was too short so water flooded the bathroom. The couch was too low for us with knee replacements to get up off it. Would not go back

Highly recommend staying in Frankton Arm instead of the hubbub of touristy QT. Gorgeous water views, easy access to Gibbston wineries, and Hilton conveniently has a water taxi stop at it's back door. The Doubletrees rooms aren't quite as luxurious as the Hilton's, but the 2 hotels are literally next to each other and share all the same amenities. We were upgraded to a lovely suite with uninhibited views of Lake Wakatipu and could step outside for a nice walk on the peninsula.
