We had an amazing experience during our first campervan holiday in Queenstown and couldnt fault the service we received from the team at Mighty Campers. The van was perfect for the trip around the South Island and had all the amenities and add ons that was needed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking at hiring through Mighty.

rented 2 vans in Christchurch and went up to island and back down to Queenstown. Lots of issues. Van1: - water was leaking from ceiling over stovetop - several drawers did not lock and opened while driving (used a pillow to buttress drawers) - the shower door opens while driving. - the screen was very hard to open in the window beside door Van2: - the air conditioning barely cooled the cab and not the rest (van2's was fine) - the refrigerator didn't work, despite troubleshooting via a call. - 2 screens were missing on the windows (van #1 had them) - the emergency brake was extremely hard to get to release almost prompting a help call at one point. - the van died on next-to-last day (alternator failed during the drive)... fortunately near a campsite and we made it there as it stopped... very frustrating with all the other stuff In general, there was no "guided tour" of the features of the van at the beginning, causing issues with hot water and the toilet. These vans shouldn't have gone out, but if they were the best they had, it doesn't say much for the company. The help via phone calls was prompt, but in most cases couldn't resolve the issues.
