Beautiful views. Right off the road so while trees blocked the view of cars, they were still audible. No hikes nearby, just a place to sleep and leave. Like all NZ campgrounds we stayed at, the camp sites would benefit from more space and privacy between them and a picnic table and fire pit for each camp site.

Lieber 15 Minuten weiter fahren zum Cascade Creek Campground (kostet gleich viel, viel mehr Platz zum Campen (auch im Wald wo es weniger Sandflys gibt), deutlich mehr Toiletten, Wasser zum Abkochen ist ebenfalls vorhanden).

Five stars for the views. Minus four stars for DOC charging $15 per person per night for a bit of grass and a long drop. The holiday park down the road is $25/night, stay there instead if you can.
