RUDE cashier. Just stopped in. This is the first petrol station I'd ever visited in NZ. Walked in and it looked really nice. My husband wanted a coffee and an ice cream, so after stopping at McDonald's across the street, we came here. I write reviews on Google, Yelp and Trip Advisor, - and this place didn't even have a listing - so I was taking some photos of the products available. The ice cream had some unique flavours not available back home. The cashier called me over, incredulously asking me "why would you take a photo of ice cream?!" I said, "because we're tourists?" She said, "well, you're not allowed to take photos of the ice cream." I said, "ok." It's not like there was some sort of no photos sign that I was ignoring. My husband, who was looking at the coffee menu, asked what was going on. I said, "she said I couldn't take photos of the ice cream. Just order your coffee." My husband said, "I'm not ordering anything. They're being a-holes" as we walked out. The cashier said, "we're not a-holes" and went to check the ice cream case as if someone taking a photo would magically damage it. Absolutely nutty policy and rude staff. February 2023
