Bay Court Lakefront Motel

We checked in a few hours ago and were warmly greeted by the hosts. Very friendly and welcoming people. They even upgraded us to a spa unit at no extra charge! It is probably one of the cleanest places i have ever stayed. It is literally across the road from lake taupo. Couldn't have a better location. Good rooms, spa bath, Netflix in the room.I would Definitely 100% come stay again. Highly recommend! Thanks for the stay guys! Jesse.

When we checked into the motel, everything was great. We needed an extra parking space and it was provided to us by a nice lady from the reception. In the morning we left and returned after 3 pm. When we began to park, a man attacked my husband with screams, he began to shout that we did not have the right to occupy a second parking space. He was aggressive and challenged my husband to a fight. I intervened in their diologue and found out that this man is a manager. I tried to explain to him that the lady yesterday allowed us to take this parking space. I also tried to find out from him if I could talk to someone else in the office besides him. To this, the man said that I could only talk to him and there was no one in the office. I tried to explain again that he couldn't change his mind after we paid the money. And we can leave the motel if he pays us back the money for that night. To this he began to swear at me . What caused my husband's reaction to the fight. We decided to leave the motel. When we were carrying things into the car, the lady who was there yesterday came up to us. She didn't feel comfortable. But we couldn't stay with the motel after that. She promised to return the money to us for that night, but she did not return it. I am very scared now if a 4-star motel, costing $ 250 a night, a manager allows himself to do this. It was the worst weekend of our lives.

Stayed here on the 26th and 27th of March for two nights. Should of veiwed the room before paying the $400. Drab and depressing. Some veiw of the lake but great views of the neighbouring motels rubbish bin's from our balcony. Fridge in the room was faulty and froze our food and milk overnight. Went down to reception next morning to get fresh milk but was not open..staff had slept in! Staff members solution to fix the fridge was to throw boiling water into the ice box. We had to ask for clean towels and more coffee as they didn't service the room as they had told us. Bed was very uncomfortable and my back hasn't been the same since! Don't stay here if you want a positive experience.
