        Pricing seemed over the top given the age of the place, needs some serious renovations inside and out when compared to others. Guess you are paying for location being so handy to town and lake. Have stayed in other Taupo motels for same price but a lot fresher presentation. Was ok but wouldn't stay again

        This property was listed as a four star motel which it is not. I would assess it as 2 star and in extreme need of repairs. The carpet was extremely worn, and there was mould on the ceiling above the beds. The shower box was disgusting and silicon and to the max. Noteworthy details: After staying there we looked at the reviews from 2017 which were not good and nothing has been done since to rectify the faults recorded then. This looked more like emergency housing, MSD properties.
