Rooms: Rooms are again well equipped and are all spacious (both in the apartment and in the hotel units) Safety: Great view of the lake, but with glass fence and security gates so there is no worries with little ones wondering off. The pool, spa and private pools are well fenced and multiple security gates, so again safety for kids is optimal Walkability: Perfect location to walk into town or the boat ramp - easy walking (and safe access) for kids and families

Rooms: Well appointed, great views, filled with light. Walkability: Walking distance to Taupo's central area, with many restaurants and bars. Walk the opposite way, and you enjoy a fantastic lakeside walk. Along the way you will encounter a couple of cafes and bistros, close to water, offering a decent selection of food and drinks

We recently stayed at The Reef Resort with my Husband and two children (6 and 3) we had the most amazing 3 nights at the resort. Staff were very friendly, rooms was clean, bathroom with spa shower was great (loved the pressure of the shower) views of the lake were beautiful! But our favourite part about the resort was the thermal pool and spa. The kids were in there multiple times during the day which they thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you, will definitely book with them again!
