Elizabeth arranged my mother's funeral with care and compassion and took loving care of Mum, guiding our family through a beautiful farewell in a dufficult time that Mum would have been very pleased with. I can't say enough about the level of professionalism and empathy we experienced. I would also highly recommend having a funeral plan with G&H.

After hearing from a relative of a previous bereavement arrangement, serviced through the Petone Branch, being completed with appropriate professionalism, I, as a first time user of this type of service, found from the very first contact that I was dealing with an efficient, compassionate, understanding and pragmatic team at Porirua. For me, this was evidenced by an immediate phone consultation that hit off the fundamentals at the earliest stage where things were not set in concrete but gave us both a relationship where the generic format was planned, estimated and delivered digitally so that I could work on developing the need as required in consultation with the broader whanau and certainly as the whanau became more involved and directive, the requests for more personalised services became apparent, they were dealt with across the continuous 24 hour spectrum that these events transpire, with an indefatigable assurance and resilient support, responding with positive actions and remedies to all our requests. Inclusive in the on-going display of resourcefulness were; converting the initial in-house chapel viewing to laying in state at the homestead, transporting my sister with my brother in law to the homestead, delivering the raised gurney when it was found my sister had difficulties from alongside the coffin, resourcing a celebrant that was particularly valuable to all participants with tikanga abilities and bi-lingual sensitivity, the service being a particularly fine display of the merging of all the finer skills of the commemoration. The successes for me; 1. The paper work from start to finish, (early estimate with continued updates, final statements, applications for death certificate and registered certificate with JP attested copies, cremation verification etc.) 2. The simplicity of responding positively, at any time, for whatever reason, 3. The personal and powerful influence of the; feminine, maternally compassionate and sensitive team across all activities, 4. Exceeding my expectations throughout the delivery of this event, including the final account representing value for our money any day to the extent that I would wholeheartedly encourage any more of my whanau & friends to make use of your fantastic service, and be more than a sponsor for your great service.
