        Ive always wanted but until now for our 37th anniversary, Ive never gone on a charming piece of Wellington character that further reminds me of San Francisco, my favourite USA city and the doppelgnger for Wellington as a whole. In fact, the short ride was made even better by the fact that, if you hold a senior citizen Super Gold card, the round trip to the top and back was complimentary. The perfect background for a lunch overlooking the city at the top.

        A must do if visiting Wellington. We caught the cable car up the hill, visited the excellent free cable car museum before heading back down on foot through the botanical gardens, all for $6! The ticket sales at the kiosk seemed slow so we bought tickets online which was also quite painful but well worth it. Great views and a lovely ride
