Awful service and complete rip off. I asked for an electrician from Queenstown to come check a simple wall heater to tell me if it needed fixing or replacing. Did not hear back from the electrician after he completed the job and when I called to follow up on what was happening the receptionist told me she would get Jeremy, the electrician, to phone me. Never heard back. I then messaged and asked for an invoice which came to a bill of $696instead of just checking the wall heater as instructed, the electrician/manager of the Queenstown JMAC branch, Jeremy, installed a heater without consultation from me. So the new heater cost me over $400 and I never even asked for it to be installed. Ive been in constant contact with them trying to get them to offer discountthey would only offer $42 off the heater price when I have found the same product online for $200 cheaper. Jeremy keeps coming back with the answer that there is mark up on the cost price so they can not offer any more discount. Otherwise their other solution will be to remove the heater and charge me $170, their call out fee, to tell me that the heater I had originally was not working. Thanks guys, I already knew that. Beyond disappointed with this service and would never recommend this company or use them again. Ive been to consumer affairs and checking out the options. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Ended up paying for repair more than I could've paid for a second hand oven from TradeMe. BEWARE! I didn't mind paying for an hour (minimum rate) for 15 min work fixing the oven, but they had charged me an EXTRA HOUR of "work" and a "visit" for coming over to write down the make/model of the oven, which could've been done over the phone. I booked with JMAC to fix a few bits around the house recently. Their booking system was very efficient and communication with them was excellent. Steve and Daniel did the work and they were both very friendly and professional. We will definitely be using JMAC for future work.
