        This is one of my favourite shops to visit especially if I am looking for something new to read. The owner is super helpful and friendly. And the selection of books is absolutely amazing. I could sit for hours looking the books that are on offer

        I first visited Des Schollums House Of Books in 1999 when I was six. It gave me a love for books and the extraordinarily well curated collection keeps me coming back as an adult. I dont live in Lower Hutt anymore but whenever Im in Wellington my top priority is to catch the train to Waterloo and buy some books from Des. Very highly recommended.
