Unbelievably unorganised, arrived and it took a near hour to get the car, the car we ordered was supposed to be diesel but for some reason wasn't available so they had to give us a petrol replacement which looked like it had a hard long life before it ever became a rental car, beaten up and ugly. While we were waiting for our car one of the staff members basically abused her co-worker over hiring out the wrong car to the wrong people, made such a fuss and it felt very toxic, all the other staff were friendly and came off as professional while this one staff member just made an absolute scene about a mistake. If you're looking to save money, don't bother just spend the extra $100 and use a reputable rental agency.

Booked a cargo van a week in advance. Turned up on the day to collect the van only to be told they dont have any available. Would have been good of them to tell me that before I paid a $40 Uber fee there to come and pick it up

What you save on price, you pay for with time, stress and poor quality vehicles. Upon collection, the truck we requested had been rented elsewhere. After a 1.5 hour wait we ended up with a truck that we didn't initially choose (all the automatics had been rented). Although some members of staff were helpful and apologetic, the truck we finally received was covered in scratches, dents and the tail lift only worked intermittently. Whilst waiting for our issue to be solved, the waiting room was full of other people with complaints or issues. In the vehicle we finally received, the air con and radio did not work so it was actually easier to drive 1000ks to Christchurch with the windows down.. Upon returning our vehicle to the Christchurch depot, our return time of 10am was also the time another customer was due to collect the truck. It was in no fit state to be rented out straight away (it had, by this point, a flat tyre) which shows some further flaws in the u-save systems. Whilst it did fulfil our requirements, our experience was not without additional stress, worry and logistical issues caused by the booking system at u-save Auckland Airport. If you can, we'd really recommend paying a little more for security and peace of mind elsewhere.

THEY LEFT ME AND MY FAMILY STRANDED AND CANCELLED BOOKING THE NEXT DAY WITH NO EXPLANATION. Here's my email (below) to U-SAVE 10 days ago and still no reply or apology. 19 November 2022 ********************* Hi There I called aeroparks upon arrival as per email instructions, when we got to the Auckland airport after 12am and the guy on the phone said to go to shuttles area to wait for them to pick me us up. Then after a good 10-15min walk I get there and no one is there to pick us up. I call back and I think it was Ben that I was speaking to, and they said that they can't find the booking and there is nothing under my name, also the 12 seater bus is not there on site, they don't even know who U Save is as they just know Snap rentals or something. After a very firm and frustrating conversation I couldn't keep my 4 kids (only babies) in the cold and my 2 elderly father and father in-law who is in their 70s stranded in the cold. They said they couldn't do anything about it and U Save is not part of their company and to raise a complaint. We asked for help to transfer us to our Air B&B accommodation in New Windsor for the night but they said they couldn't assist. After a disappointing conversation and we knew we had no one to help so we ended up walking back to the airport stranded and cold. We asked a shuttle bus to take us to our air B&B place and he ended taking us to the wrong place, then left us with our bags on the street because he didn't want to help us carry them up the drive way cos his shuttle bus was too big. So we all (my babies and the elderly) walked in the cold darkness to our Air B&B. Thank God our Air B&B guy was so nice to help us walk and take our luggage and also made us feel welcome. We were tired and hungry cos we didn't have a rental vehicle obviously because U SAVE failed us so no ride to get something to eat cos we had no car. My babies have caught a cold and are restless. We are here for a family funeral and this is not a good start. Someone complained about the same thing on google about being left stranded but I thought Ill give U Save the benefit of the doubt but to my disappointment those reviews are now valid. Booking 211637(AKAPT) - BIG FAIL ***************** To date - no reply, no apology, nothing...SO TAKE IT FROM THIS EMAIL ABOVE - THEY WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED. U-SAVE WILL NOT SAVE YOU, SO SAVE YOURSELF FROM DISAPOINTMENT.
