    No star but had to give it a star to post. Container was too small, not enough protector cloths or wrapping. Only 2 items from a large house lot that wasn't damaged. No care taken when loading. Furniture rubbing on sides of container and dirty marks left on dining chairs from their fingers. They arrived nice and early but it went downhill after that. Would never use them again or recommend them. Even though they knew about our furniture being damaged no one phoned to discuss, just sent a claim form. Impossible to make a claim on numerous scratches and dents and broken furniture, only put in a claim to repair an expensive dining room table. They gave the money to us for repairs less $250.00 excess!!

    Despite initial communications were quick, helpful and smooth, when belongings were uplifted from our storage unit, the inventory done by the drivers didn't match the one we presented. When questioned with pictures that proved all the boxes were in the storage unit and the drivers took them all (as pics provided by the storage facility), we have been told 2 boxes were down packed (?). Shipment was quick, storage in Australia was handled smoothly and delivered fast. But surprise (not surprising) the box that wasn't mentioned in the inventory was not there and neither its content. Nothing extremely valuable but couldn't make an insurance claim for it since it 'never left NZ'. It's such a shame because if whoever is responsible for the missing box didn't have the brilliant idea of 'down packing' it (aka stealing?!) my review would have been completely the opposite and I would recommend the service to others. I mean, go ahead but don't expect to receive everything you send. That at the end of the day, after $2k spent with professionals is the bare minimum of what you would expect.

    Really bad experience with them. Many of our framed art arrived with the glass broken and our washing machine has a big indent (maybe from poor handling). The manager who was taking care of our moving was very rude to me on the phone, I felt like he was making fun of my english by saying "I don't understand how you speak, please speak slow to me" despite my english is good or good enough to be understood. The movers had to apologise on behalf of their manager, so I have to say the movers were nice people, but the management in this company is not good and aggressive. I won't use this service again.

    In my view Conroys specialize in poor communication and delivering disappointment. From our initial discussion with Conroys movers were promised a 4-6 week turnaround from A - B. We bought our one way tickets and provided them with several months notice. Our house was packed on the 28th of October, and didn't leave New Zealand as first planned in early November but left the second of December. At first, we received good communication from the NZ office and the removals team was outstanding. After that, we had to chase the whereabouts of our house every step of the way - communication was atrocious and inconsistent. I was under the impression that we had one point of contact throughout yet, in reality, we had Nathan, Suzan, Jo, Daniel, Elizabeth, Sophie and the random local contractors that was news to us. Due to the delay at one point we were told that we needed to fork out for extra insurance, this was not the case but sent me off digging through paperwork again for no good reason. At last we finally received the contents of our house at our new address on the 4th of January a total of (9 weeks 5 days) By pure miracle might I add - this was pure luck, I was told by the local contractor (who were great) that we were originally booked for February, however, there was a Covid cancellation and we simply called up at the right moment after receiving a random SMS. (Not from Conroys no surprise.) It was literally like Christmas, however now we have doubles of most of our things and a garage full of stuff we dont need. To make matters worse we had a baby due on the 2nd of January and add to the excess cortisol. On asking a simple question multiple times to multiple people in the organisation "do I need to buy a new cot, car seat, and baby equipment? I could never get a straight yes or no answer, just "you will get a call when they arrive. (We didnt) Not good enough! We had planned to ruff it for a week or so and bounce between Air BNBs, but eventually, we had to move into a permanent address. At this point, we were forced to buy a new washing machine, fridge, beds, linen, and cooking gear this that and the other thing, not to mention a cot and baby clothes. We spent thousands extra to live and prep for the baby, we may as well have sold everything but our sentimental possessions. To make matters worse Conroys has lost the carton that contains our baby's linen and baby camera-monitors anyway. Now, the final nail in the coffin, upon claiming on insurance, since the cartons $1000 inventory was not itemised by the moving boys. (Listed as Boxes and Linen) We have been offered a whole $84.00 in compensation. I must note that the entire inventory was written by Conroys in Shorthand therefore; at their discretion could have declined insurance for any item that was not listed. They were paid for this service but it would appear to be on the safe side you should do it yourself. (Massive amount of work to note down every little thing) My advice is to certainly look elsewhere, this company as a whole is all smoke and mirrors in my opinion and caused me and my family unnecessary stress. I must say though the boys in the truck were soo good, and did a wonderful job in packing.
