We wait 40 minutes in a queue at the BNZ branch at St Lukes to open a joint account. As both myself and partner bank with BNZ, the BNZ employee said that it cant be done in store and because we both bank with BNZ, this must be done over the phone.
Call the contact centre and sit on hold for 67 minutes to be told that they can only start the application and that we would have to go to store to do the rest of the application.
Scares me to think that the idiots at the branch are trusted to administer peoples accounts, and that BNZ make it so difficult to open a joint account. Which would ultimately lead to a mortgage
Safe to say I will be closing my account there.
So angry at the incompetence.
