Quest on Durham

Rooms: You can't advertise that you have acess to a private gym and Sauna when nothing is usable. The only thing that worked was a treadmill. After talking to a resident its been that way for months??? The spa bath needs looking at. Very run down and sounds like a plane taking off. Also why put 2 towels in the room when i booked for 3? Also booked for 3 but found a note saying if we use a fold out couch you will add $25 On a positive note .The room itself was modern, decent size nice kitchen. The bed was comfy and the lady who served me was nice.

I wish I had done more research on this property before booking - I wanted something nice as was away for work, and was travelling solo for my birthday the same week. Do NOT be mistaken about there being any possible water views - there are NOT - currently the property is misrepresented by showing as multi-storey - the building might be but Quest only operate ground and level 1 - the rest are apartments. My booking request which had gone to them asking for a room with a view went unanswered, and I made the mistake of not following up on that - but should I really need to? On asking about views, they moved me to a room they said had a view ... of a hill, some trees, and a ratty old building on top of the hill. Other than that very disappointing result, it is the usual Quest recipe with everything you need and nothing you don't. Bed very comfortable, nic and well equipped kitchen, and housekeeping was very good. Also I didn't know there was a parking fee until arriving at the property - I hadn't spotted anything on the website - it is currently $15 per night undercover. There are plenty of properties with views in Tauranga - I will be researching them for my next visit. to The Bay.

Very clean hotel. Thought the hotel has many stories, it's only ground floor and second floor while the rest of the building is residential. $15/night fee for basement parking, while street parking free after 6pm. Kitchen was kind of small, the stove was not as convenient to operate because the numbers for the fire level kind of wore off. We didn't know which way for high fire so we ended up cooking at low fire while everyone was starving . Free wifi for sure and it's written at the card when you check in. Bathrooms were spacious. I kind of feel the room we booked was a makeshift of an office into the guest room; however, it was spacious.
