It's quite damp here as it gets limited sun.

Best doggy park around, and there's always a friendly crowd there between 4pm and 5pm. It didn't used to be fenced, but it is now.

A beautiful park. Good playground for all ages. Large park space great for playing and picnicking.

Very nice spot, or course it would be even better in fine weather. We freedom camped the 2 allowed nights, clean toilets also on site.

The flooding was unbelievable. This walk is usually a difference with tracks River bridge motorway. This day the park was under water.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tree sheltered areas bordered by running water features. The dogs were able to roam free, off lead and interact with their environment.

Hot springs

Sadly the facilities were not being used when we cycled past. But what a super spot for this sort of recreation. Well done Whakatane - we'll be back.
