Pomona Ridge

First of all I was shocked to find out that the unit was actually part of the main house which is the hosts home and where they live. There is a thin sliding door that separates you. Behind the sliding door is their large living area with sliding doors that open out to the outdoor area and these doors were open the majority of our stay. We felt we had to talk quietly in hushed tones otherwise we would be disturbing them whether we were sitting inside or outside. They can also see everything you are doing whether its inside or outside. There was no privacy. The pool is Beautiful with great views but we felt we were being watched all the time and couldnt relax. In a situation like this being in such close quarters there is a need to respect each others space. This did not happen with me. The lady host kept coming over and checking what our plans were for the day and what we were doing. It made us feel uncomfortable and awkward, we felt we couldnt relax and enjoy our time as it felt like we were intruding in their home. Whilst some people might be ok with this situation when choosing a place to stay we only wanted a getaway with no people and to relax in our own space. The advertisement should say clearly what the arrangement is for this accommodation. You are staying in there home And they live there. The pictures do not reflect this and neither does the description.

We had a fantastic time at Pomona Ridge. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The hosts were very kind and friendly. The two bedrooms were lovely and the beds comfortable. The pool was lots of fun even in late February. We barbecued our dinners so we didnt need an oven. The toilet is separated from the tub and sink which is very nice when there are four people getting ready. We went for a nice walkabout in the property. We would highly recommend Pomona Ridge.
