Plum Tree House & Quince Cottage

Tried to get away for for a nice holiday to a beautiful part of the country during a difficult time in the world politically and economically. Unfortunately these proprietors could not help but bombard us at every opportunity with their own political stance on everything and anything. Very obnoxious and rather rude. Made us feel uncomfortable throughout. FYI - demanding a picture of your guests at the end of stay, especially after your behaviour, is just creepy and over the top. Should have left after the first evening. Odious people. Place is overpriced, even for the area, and having to put up with these particular proprietors - go elsewhere.

The accomodation was delightful with an almost French country atmosphere. Crisp white sheets and luxurious bath robes. My hosts were helpful and knowledgeable about walks, activities and dining opportunities and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. As a woman travelling by myself I was grateful for their local knowledge and assistance. Great breakfasts with fresh eggs from their hens, homemade jam, bread, compote and muesli
