The office where pick up is, it's a bit of a drab and un welcoming to be honest - needs a good spruce up and tidy up. The experiences I had calling ahead of my booking was terrible due to customer service and unwillingness to help me or reassure me about my booking.. but once your onsite staff are lovely and want the check in process to be fast and no hassle. easy enough process. My Nissan leaf was nifty, but I didn't realize it was a charging car lol. Lucky there was a charger one way to masterton cause I wouldn't of made it there and back without one lol. I'd hire from them again.

I have used Mode Rentals twice now, once in Christchurch and once in wellington. The staff directly transferred my bond between branch, no hassle at all, The process was super easy, the service outstanding and the vehicles in good condition. Highly recommend.

Just had the chance to try Mode. I dealed with Lee. Easy going we had a Toyota Corolla. The whole process was easy. The location was next to the Free drop off Highly recommended 5 from 5.

Sharing on behalf of my parents who I recommended this company to. On wednesday we arrived about 2.30pm to return the rental car the gates were closed. When we rung the girl explained they were in an important meeting and that we were early. After I explained we needed to get to the airport a girl with undercut hair came storming out to open the gates who thru open my fathers door and started yelling at him saying we have dropped too early and that Hayley needed to be back asap as we have now interrupted the meeting. My poor mother was fully shaken up from her unprofessional untrained attitude. Hayley who took us back was lovely and tried to apologise on her behalf. After reading all modes reviews I don't see why she should have to, it sounds like that girl has a serious problem and after all the complaints I've read on her customer service why is she still there? Hayley explained she was next in charge well Mode bring back the Asian girl she was way nicer and professional at her job. Mode sort this out, will never rent from you again and I'll be passing this on, also maybe have a meeting when not in business hours.
