Ocean View Restaurant

One of the best experiences I have had in NZ. Food was delicious, tender, right temperature and good timing. Not agree with others saying it's overpriced. For 2 entries, 2 mains, desert and a bottle of wine we paid 150! More then acceptable in my opinion. All staff were very friendly, attentive and swift. Will highly recommend to all my friends.

This should have been a pleasant night out at a smart restaurant. It wasn't. When we arrived the crowd noise could be heard one floor down and along the passageway. The problem is their bar is open to the restaurant and on this particular night a group of around 25 were going at it like they were at an after-match function at the Black Stump Pub. We struggled to enjoy our meal and were happy to leave as soon as we could. On the way out, I asked if the noise was like this every night. I was told 'No, just every Friday. The shareholders gather for a drink'! I was stunned... This goes on our list of 10 worst dining experiences ever. It you come here, avoid Friday nights!
