Bush Line Hut

Bush Line hut was breath taking beautiful hut on the top of the mountain. Someone in the previous review mentioned old mattress. They must have changed because we slept on surprisingly comfortable, new condition mattresses. Bunk bed which accommodate 14 trampers. Fire place, bit table. Great entrance hall where you can keep your stinky shoes Long drop toilet with amazing view.

Lovely hut right at the bush line on your way up to/down Mt Robert Circuit. Small but enough space for a few people to sleep, cook and spend a good night with a great view. Picnic tables too to enjoy the view on a nice sunny day. Toilets right outside at the back and fire place to get the air warm in cold nights. It's not too long to reach the hut whatever way you chose to hike the Mt Robert Circuit so would stay here to relax on a weekend and escape the city life out in the nature. Unless you're doing the more demanding Angelus Hut track, and then this hut might be a great stop before heading back to town the following morning, without too much effortv(it's only downhill from here). I've made a little video of the place when I was there to give trampers an idea of what to expect.

Great hut. The only thing that could be improved are the mattresses. They are a bit thin and worn. Lovely firebox that warms you up. There was plenty of firewood.
