The Waituhi Lookout is at the highest point coming over the ridge from Taumaranui to Turangi and offers scenic views in a 360 degree panorama.

The hike is quite intense despite having proper steps and trail. Nevertheless, it is worth all the intensity once at the upper lookout. The view is really stunning
