Rented a Toyota Corolla for a month. Rental process was smooth and efficient. Pick up and return were smooth and efficient. Shuttle to/from airport were, you guessed it, smooth and efficient. Car was clean and reliable. What more could I ask for?

En la web aparecen vehiculos con disponiblidad pero en la oficina te dicen que no hay, de mala manera como si te estuviesen haciendo un favor. Son impresentables para atender al publico. Vehicles with availability appear on the web but in the office they tell you that there are none, in a bad way as if they were doing you a favor. They are unpresentable to serve the public.

Pegasus are extremely good value for money and service. Pick up from airport to their base. Less expensive than other rental places. Cars slightly older, don't expect new, but totally fine. This is the second time I have used them. Very happy with the little zippy Mazda Demi provided.

I had an awful experience trying to book with Pegasus Rentals. After making a booking, and receiving the rental agreement, I read it thoroughly and discovered that I had not held my licence for over 5 years, which breached their agreement. I rang to check if there was any way to work around this. The person on the phone said it would be "fine" and "not to worry". I insisted that I wanted a written acknowledgement of that fact and they said "just sort it out when you arrive". This was not an option to me, as I was arriving from overseas, and my plans required a rental car, if it didn't work out, I would be in trouble. After several minutes they finally figured out that I would need to email their manager, which I did. After numerous delayed communciations, the manager informed me that my license would not allow me to hire a car with Pegasus, but that I could acquire an international driver's licence. I asked for written confirmation that this document would be sufficient, but received no reply for weeks, even after prompting for an answer. After ringing failed to connect me with the manager, I cancelled the booking (ensuring to call, and not just email - as my emails rarely recieved replies). In the end, I went with my backup company - Sixt who, though a little more expensive, took care of me incredibly well. I highly recommend them. Given the poor communication, and incompetence of staff (who did not understand the terms of their own rental agreement), I would recommend steering clear of Pegasus (no pun intended). Car rentals are complex, and sorting them out propely and clearly is important for both renter and rentee. Pegasus failed at this.

34 day hire ex Auckland from 28/05/2022 Our flight arrived after close so we given instructions on how to collect the vehicle Park N Fly. The chap at the desk grunted "ID" handed me an envelope an said your car is out there in that direction as if I was a hinderance to his afternoon 30 minutes later I found the vehicle and was able to start our holiday. I was not asked for any contact phone number as my Australian mobile did not roam and I purchased a NZ sim card for the trip. Fast forward to the end of the I must say a trouble free trip & drop off of the vehicle I was a day late but it was an honest mistake and was greeted with "Oh you are dropping of the day late vehicle" to which I promptly admitted was my fault and apologized. We were ushered away quickly to our accommodation that service was fantastic and the gent driving us was very friendly and helpful only 5 minutes away and by the time we got to our accommodation I received the new charge for the extra day that I offered to pay for at the counter but was told no we will charge the card on fileand also a Smoking in vehicle fee I promptly contacted the office and was gruffly brushed off and was told that several staff out the back had smelled smoke in the car. I feel as though they got rid of me so they could charge the fee. I am 58 years of age I have never smoked in my life my wife is a smoker but has never even smoked in our home or any cars that we have owned. I said the lady on the phone that they saw my wife get out of the vehicle when we arrived and lit a cigarette as she had not had a smoke since we left Tauranga that morning why would she smoke in the car when there is a decal on the dash. I have hired vehicles from Pegasus several time over the years due to the staff and service being fantastic but I do feel that in this hire I will no longer be a client and will definitely be advising all my travelling friends & family to steer clear if this is what they call customer service!
